Municipality Horoshovskoe

Coat of arms and flag

Shield: Moscow shape, Azure. Charge, rhomboid fortification, Or. Within it, tent Vert with flag Gules on the top.

The Moscow shape shield is blue and depicts a gold rhomboid fortification. Inscribed in it is a green tent with a red flag on its top.

The gold rhomboid symbolises Khodynka Field, the district’s historic centre, where the Moscow garrison camped out every summer, with its training fortifications. Gold is often used in Russian heraldry for roads, urban squares, drill grounds, etc. The green tent is an emblem symbolising military units stationed on Khodynka Field and in its vicinity from the late 18th century into this day, and objects of the military infrastructure — the garrison court, the military prosecutor’s office, the offices of several military media outlets, and the Central Army Sport Club. The blue colour of the shield is the Air Force’s traditional colour. It reminds that Khodynka Field was the first Russian aerodrome.

The flag of the Khoroshovsky Municipal District is a two-sided rectangle with a 2:3 width to length ratio.

In the centre of a blue field is a yellow rhomboid fortification. Inside it is a green tent with a red flag on its top. The size of the rhomboid is 8/15 of the flag’s length and 9/10 of its width. The size of the tent is 1/4 of the flag’s length and 1/2 of its width. The centre of the tent is shifted by 1/16 of the flag’s width to the top edge of the flag.
