The Moscow shape shield is divided by a reversed Y-like cross. The right field is blue and depicts a silver flying dove. The left field is green and depicts a gold oak with silver foliage and gold acorns. Below the top fields is a gold chevron and, beneath it, a red triangular field with a gold oblique cross or letter X.
The gold chevron symbolises environment-friendly housing construction. The silver dove, symbolising the Holy Spirit, points at the local Church of Our Lady of the Apparition. The gold oak on green symbolises the district forest park. The gold oblique cross stands for the letter X — Cyrillic Kh, with which the name of the district begins.
The flag of the Khovrino Municipal District is a two-sided rectangle with a 2:3 width to length ratio.
In the middle of the bottom part is a red oblique triangle with the bottom edge for a base. Its size is 4/5 of the flag’s length and 3/8 of its width.
Bordering the triangle from above is a yellow chevron rising from the bottom flag corners. Its apex is shifted by 1/8 from the flag’s centre to the top edge.
The top part is divided vertically in two equal fields — blue hoist and green fly.
The blue field depicts a white dove flying toward the hoist. Its size is 1/4 of the flag’s length and 7/16 of its width. The centre of the image is 5/24 of the flag’s length off the hoist edge and 3/16 of the flag’s width off the top edge.
The green field depicts a yellow oak with white foliage and yellow acorns. Its size is 5/24 of the flag’s length and 7/16 of its width. The centre of the image is 5/24 of the flag’s length off the fly edge and 3/16 of the flag’s width off the top edge.
The red triangle depicts a yellow oblique cross, or letter X. Its size is 1/10 of the flag’s length and 3/20 of its width. The centre is at an equal distance from the side edges and 1/10 off the bottom edge.
