Description

The Moscow shape shield is divided by an oblique gold stripe, right. The right field is blue and depicts a silver sailboat on two wavy silver lines. The left field is green and depicts a conventionalised flower of a blue globe surrounded by five silver-lined petals — black, red, green, gold and blue.

Symbolism

The gold band symbolises Leningradskoye Highway, one of Moscow’s main thoroughfares, which crosses the district. The flower — the main part of the emblem of the 1957 World Festival of Youth and Students — symbolises Friendship Park, planted by its delegates on the Moskva River left bank. The silver sailboat symbolises the Moskva-Volga Canal, and the blue and green fields reflect the name of the district, which means «left bank».

Description

The flag of the Levoberezhny Municipal District is a two-sided rectangle with a 2:3 width to length ratio.

The flag is divided into a blue, bottom field and a green top one by a yellow diagonal stretching from the top hoist corner down. Its breadth is 1/12 of the flag’s length and 3/20 of its width.

The green field depicts a conventionalised flower made by a blue globe surrounded by five white-lined petals — black, red, green, yellow and blue. Its size is 1/4 of the flag’s length and 7/20 of its width. The centre is 5/24 of the flag’s length off the fly edge and 5/16 of the top edge.

The blue field depicts a white sailboat turned to the hoist above two wavy white lines. Their breadth is 3/32 of the flag’s width. The centre of the image is 1/8 of the flag’s width off the bottom edge. The size of the boat is 1/4 of the flag’s length and 3/8 of its width. The centre is 5/24 of the flag’s length from the hoist edge and 3/8 of the flag’s width off the bottom edge.
