Municipality Vostochnoe Degunino

Coat of arms and flag

Shield: Moscow shape. Party per bend wavy with strawberry leaves Vert and Or counterchanged — Dexter, Or on Vert.

The Moscow shape shield is divided by an oblique wavy line, right. Every field depicts a strawberry leaf — gold on green right, and green on gold left.

The gold field — of one of the fire colours — puns on the district’s name. According to the most widespread etymology, it derives from degun, an old word for scorched earth on which the first local settlement appeared. The green field reminds that it was one of the most popular dacha clusters at the turn of the 20th century. Strawberry leaves symbolise berry farming, which prospered in the locality in the 1920s, and hint that the district is comparatively young.

The flag of the Vostochnoye (Eastern) Degunino Municipal District is a two-sided rectangle with a 2:3 width to length ratio.

The flag is diagonally divided in a green, hoist and yellow, fly field by a wavy line forming strawberry leaves down from the top hoist corner. The leaves are inscribed in a conventional rectangle. Its size is 5/12 of the flag’s length and 4/5 of its width.
