Municipality Marfino

Coat of arms and flag

Shield: Moscow shape. Party per bendlet. Dexter, Azure. Sinister, Vert. The bendlet is made of two integral signs — chief Or and base Argent, superimposed in the middle by a birch leaf, Dexter Argent and Sinister Or.

The Moscow shape shield is divided by an oblique stripe, right. The right field is blue and the left green. The dividing diagonal is made of two integral signs — the top gold and the bottom silver, superimposed in the middle by a birch leaf of two halves — the right silver and the left gold.

The birch leaf and the integral signs symbolise the Timiryazev Plant Physiology Institute — Russia’s leading plant research institution, which bases in the district. The green field symbolises lush woods that formerly grew in Marfino. The blue field symbolises local ponds and the Kamenka River, presently flowing in an underground tube.

The flag of the Marfino Municipal District is a two-sided rectangle with a 2:3 width to length ratio.

It is divided from the hoist obliquely, left to right. The top field is green and the bottom blue.

In the centre of the flag is a birch leaf bent to the fly. It is divided in two halves — white to the hoist and yellow to the fly. The size of the image is 3/10 of the flag’s length and 1/2 of its width.

A yellow integral sign stretches from the leaf to the top hoist corner, and a white one from the leaf to the bottom fly corner.
