Description

The Moscow shape shield is blue and depicts a gold and silver bird of paradise in flight.

Symbolism

According to tradition, the bird of paradise, or the Firebird of the Russian folklore, brings bliss (the Russian word for which is otrada). It symbolises childcare, and the district people’s desire of happiness and wellbeing. Reminding of folk crafts, the bird also points at Kargopol, Otradnoye’s sister town and a famous toy-making centre in the Russian north.

Description

The flag of the Otradnoye Municipal District is a two-sided rectangle with a 2:3 width to length ratio.

In the centre of the blue field is a yellow and white bird of paradise. The size of the image is 5/12 of the flag’s length and 3/4 of its width.
