Municipality Novogireevo

Coat of arms and flag

Shield: Moscow shape. Paly of 3, Or and Vert. Charge, horseshoe, Sable, under pale, arc down.

The Moscow shape shield, gold, is divided by a vertical green bar superimposed on a black horseshoe, arc down.

The black horseshoe symbolizes a horse tram reaching from the Novogireyevo station of the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod Railway to the centre of the dacha settlement of Novogireyevo — a rare convenience for the Moscow environs of the early 20th century. The green vertical bar is for Zelyony Prospekt (Green Avenue), the main district thoroughfare. The gold field symbolizes the arid soil of Afghanistan in memory of Moscow soldiers fallen in the Afghan war. A monument to them was erected in the district.

The flag of the Novogireyevo Municipal District is a two-sided rectangle with a 2:3 width to length ratio.

The flag consists of three vertical stripes — yellow, green and yellow. The width of the middle, green stripe is 5/24 of the flag’s length. The yellow side stripes are of equal size.

The green stripe is superimposed on a black horseshow, arc down, in the centre of the flag. The size of the image is 11/24 of the flag’s length and 11/16 of its width.
