Municipality Vostochnoe Izmailovo

Coat of arms and flag

Shield: Moscow shape, Vert. Charge, a triangular sconce, Argent, with an owl facing Dexter, perched on an oak branch inscribed in Argent.

The Moscow shape shield is green and depicts a triangular sconce with an owl inscribed, perched on an oak branch, turned three-quarter right, with wings pressed to the body. All images are in silver.

The owl, symbol of wisdom, symbolizes numerous research and educational institutions in the district. The silver sconce reflects the ramparts of a mediaeval fortress, which have come down to this day and are a major place of interest. The green field symbolizes the Izmailovo Park and the exquisite Sirenevy (Lilac) Boulevard, which owes its name to plant breeder Leonid Kolesnikov’s famous lilac nursery.

The flag of the Vostochnoye (Eastern) Izmailovo Municipal District is a two-sided rectangle with a 2:3 width to length ratio.

In the centre of the green field is a white triangular sconce fortification with a white owl perched on a white oak branch inscribed in it. The size of the image is 7/12 of the flag’s length and 3/4 of its width.
