In the past few years, investors have been contributing actively to Moscow construction projects.
Investor-funded projects accounted for 83 percent of the sum total in the past five years, said Sergei Lyovkin, Head of the Moscow Department of Urban Development.
Mr Lyovkin said the dynamics were positive for housing construction and education and health and sports facilities. A total of 4.9 million sq m were commissioned in Moscow in 2010, 5.8 million in 2011, 6.5 million in 2012, 7.1 million in 2013 and 7.9 million in 2014.
Previously, Deputy Mayor for Urban Development and Construction Marat Khusnullin said that 5.9 million sq m of real estate would be commissioned judging by the results of the first nine months of 2015.
